On the 28th of August 2010 We are cycling 1300 miles, from London to Rome to raise money for Footsteps Foundation in order to support Annie Barnett. This great charity helps disabled children such as Annie learn to walk, a skill we take for granted every day.
Our new aim is to raise £10 for every mile of this trip (£13,000). I think that Annie and the Barnett family are important to so many people that this aim is more than achievable. Half of all money raised goes directly to Annie's treatment. The other half goes to the Footsteps foundation to support their ongoing work with Annie and other children.
The trip we are undertaking will be extremely difficult. With no support vehicle and little money, we plan to undertake something that most would not even consider.
However difficult our trip will be, it is nothing in comparison to the task faced by Footsteps and the families of these children, so please keep them, rather than us in mind when giving.
