The Colfeian Sports Club is a community multi-sports club in South East London. It has facilities for rugby, football, cricket, bowls, badminton and martial arts. It is open to all, including children from the age of 6.

Story

On 16th December 2006, Warren Evans - a veteran of nearly 20 years with the Old Colfieans RFC 1st XV - suffered a stroke during a first team match.

The stroke has seriously inhibited his right hand side, his speech and left him unable to return to work as a graphic artist. While he has made good progress since the incident his rehabilitation will continue for the next 18 months to 2 years.

Warren and his partner Sam have a 2 year old son and due to the prolonged nature of Warren’s recovery OCRFC have set up a fund to support Warren ’s treatment and family during this time.

Ben Johnston and Kevin Tilson are undertaking a Bike ride from London to Monaco and hope to raise at least £25,000 for Warren ’s fund.

They  will be departing from London on Saturday 15th September 2007 and are hoping to complete the 950mile + journey in 10 - 14 days. By pledging money via the just giving website we will be able to claim gift aid on donations and enhance the benefit to Warren, Sam and Jake.

If you donate money for no other reason do it to recognise the bravery of these two putting on Lycra!
