We, The Looney Tunes team at Experian in Nottingham have done a number of events such as The Fabulous Bakin' Boys, a booze raffle and a Charity Auction to raise money for Hayward House
Hayward House is "a hospice within a hospital" based within the grounds of Nottingham's own City Hospital.
It is a 20-bedded Macmillan specialist palliative care unit. The buildings were provided By cancer relief Macmillan fund. It is supported principally by the NHS, with generous help from friends, the general public and voluntary organisations.
Hayward House "palliates" the effects of advancing cancer and continues to care for patients and families throughout its phases.
The unit also cares for patients with motor neurone disease and their families. Care in the final period of these illnesses is only one element of our role. A great many patients come into the unit for treatment and support or to give families a rest and then return home.
An attractive, friendly Day centre provides patients with companionship, emotional and physical support and a pleasant social day out. At the same time a much needed rest is given to the patients' family and friends.
This is something that is very close to our own hearts and I am sure it will be the same for many of you.
The Looney Tunes team consists of Jade, Kelly, Lisa, Alexa, Kerry, Kevin, Chris, Alison, Liz, Lorna, Nicola.
We have managed to raise an amazing £1157 and Hayward House have now received this.
