Great Scottish Run 10K 2017 · 1 October 2017 ·
I decided to set myself a challenge and do the Great Scottish Run for the first time ever. I don't mind admitting to the fact that I would only ever do something like this for charity - running is definitely not fun for me! So, I am raising funds and awareness for Mental Health UK.
The charity works across the UK to improve the lives of people with mental illness and to support carers. It runs over 400 services and 200 volunteer support groups in communities around the country. Over 90,000 people rely on its services every year to get them through crises, live independently and realise they are not alone. Last year its health information was accessed online over 3.6 million times.
But many more people need their help. Please support Mental Health UK and help them lead a movement to build understanding and help people be less scared to speak up about their mental health.
Thank you for your support - it is hugely appreciated.
