Forth Rail Bridge Abseil · 19 October 2014 to 20 October 2014 ·

Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

NOTE - THE ABSEIL WAS POSTPONED DUE TO HIGH WINDS TODAY. WAITED FOR AN HOUR AT THE BRIDGE AND IT LOOKED PRETTY SCAREY. WILL UPDATE WHEN RESCHEDULED.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I am abseiling from the Forth Rail Bridge (yes .. they found a rope strong enough!)  on 19th October to raise funds for Place2Be, one of Tesco Bank's charity partners for 2014.

Place2Be is the leading UK provider of school-based mental health support, unlocking children's potential in the classroom - and beyond.  Children are less likely to suffer from serious mental health difficulties in later life if they receive support at an early age, providing a cost saving to adult mental health services.  Growing evidence indicates that promoting positive mental health also improves a range of positive school outcomes, including enhanced academic progress, better attendance and lower exclusion rates.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
