He came from china and loves maths. He also likes playing racket sports like badminton, tennis and table tennis. He currently studies further maths, physics and economics, and enjoys breaking a mental sweat. (100-1)

George Jackson who is involved in many sports including Rugby, Basketball and Athletics. He is also, like others in the group, preparing for the South Africa tour in the summer which should be fantastic and great preparation for the season ahead. Out side of the sports side of things, he is studying Maths, Biology, History and Chemistry and hopes to be the next Dr Christian Jessen. (30-1)

Ben Flowers was, like Charles new to the house this year, and came from Sheffield. He has represented the school in rugby and basketball, and plays cricket in the summer term. He studies Art, English, Geography and economics for his AS. He toughly enjoys the physical challenge of exercise, and is a dark horse in the half marathon. (400-1)

Sam Sutcliffe who enjoys waterskiing and clay shooting in his free time plays rugby for the school and he runs for the 1st VIII cross country. He undertakes recreational tennis at times which he enjoys, and cycling is his sport of choice this term, he is working on toning his legs in preparation for the marathon. Sam studies maths, physics, economics and geography and hopes to study automotive engineering at university. Sam is the likely runner up in the half marathon. (7-1)

Jake Yeomans who likes to keep his fingers in all the pies, enjoys playing 1XV rugby and is in the athletics team, elsewhere in school he is head of the R.A.F. section, is a qualified pilot and enjoys playing the guitar. Jake studies maths, physics, chemistry and philosophy and is a budding aeronautical engineer, It is highly unlikely that he will come anywhere near the top in the marathon... but he enjoys the physical challenge nontheless. (12-1)

Tom Cooper who enjoys a range of subjects at Uppingham, however it is music to which he dedicates most of his time; he plays in the school orchestra, big band and has also taken Grade 8 piano this year. He does also enjoy a wide variety of sports, and hopes to broaden this range by undertaking the half marathon. (100-1)

Jamie Hooper; Jamie enjoys his sport and fitness and can almost always be found in the gym. He plays rugby for 1st XV and enjoys cross country. One of Jamie’s most notable achievements was eating 50 McDonalds chicken nuggets, let’s hope his stomach capacity will be able to store extra energy for him. Jamie studies further maths, latin and Italian, and hopes to make his millions by the age of 22 in banking. (50-1)

Sam Hockenhull is a keen golfer, however this does not immediately spring to mind when you are asked to describe him. Known for his antics among peers he is a bit of a loose cannon, and this had got him into a few fishy situations, however, sam is the glue that holds the group together, he reads further maths, chemistry and physics and will almost certainly have retired at 30 after a lucrative career in gambling. (20-1)

Charles Sale is an outstanding sportsman having represented his school is the 1st team across rugby, football and cricket in the respective year groups. He is a diligent individual who is always playing cricket, or in his study thinking about cricket, or sleeping and dreaming about cricket. He studies history, politics, business studies and geography and hopes to one day be prime minister. (11-1)

Harry Locke, who often goes by the alias 'Bill', won an academic scholarship to the school four years ago and has been trying to live up to the reputation ever since, with varying degrees of success. A keen (if incompetent) sportsman he recently been a member of the school 1st cross-country team. With a sharp wit and intellect he, like the infamous Sam Hockenhull, has found himself in many sticky situations, but remains a steady and productive member of the House. Odds are on Harry to win. (3-1)

Sam Snoxall is possibly the most laid back member of the entire school. He excels sportingly and like Charles Sale enjoys his cricket. When he isn’t playing cricket he is most likely to be found 'chilling' listening to Jamaican idiomatic music. He studies politics, history, geography and business studies and hopes to one day create his own political party. (30-1)

Angus Gibson enjoys sport at school, football is his real passion but he also enjoys, rugby and golf among others. In the music department he plays the bagpipes in the school Pipe band with Harry who can be heard playing on speech day. He is outstanding academically, and studies latin, maths, geography and economics. (100-1)

Mr Seecharan is the house master of Lorne house and teaches Politics to the 6th form. He also coaches various sports teams in the school, most notably Rugby, he has lead the 12 boys of Lorne house L6th to outstanding success, lets hope this will be emulated in the results of the half marathon.

Mr Chessell (In absentia) is one of the most talented theatrical producers, he teaches drama and theatre studies academically and has been involved in every major school production. More recently he has got into his trainers and has been taking his running very seriously.
