My mum, June Harris passed away tragically last year from ovarian cancer. We already raised money for Cancer Research through donations at the time but really wanted to do something extra as a year soon approaches since she is gone and felt that the Duchess of Kent Hospice, Reading is a truly worthy cause.
We are aiming to climb the peaks of Ireland (Carrauntoohil, 1041m), N. Ireland (Slieve Donard, 852m), Scotland (Ben Nevis, 1344m), England (Scafell Pike, 978m) and Wales (Snowdon, 1085m) over a 10 day period, climbing 5294m total height and travelling some 1,700 miles in the process. We fly to Ireland on 29th June and complete the challenge in 10 days.
