This year I'm a project leader for Cameroon Catalyst - a student-led society based at the University of Southampton working alongside the Mosame Trust charity to help promote and enable sustainable development in the village of Bambouti in eastern Cameroon. The society has already planned, funded and executed three projects thus far in the village - a village community centre and a mechanics workshop - last year I joined the team and we rebuilt Bambouti's primary school, in the hope of improving the quality of education given to the village's large population of children.

This year we are improving the medical facilities in Bambouti by designing and funding electrification for the village. This will enable vaccinations to be stored in fridges, and provide lighting in the medical centre. We'll also be creating an electricity hub building, where people can recharge batteries and phones and businesses can thrive.

All of the money donated will go towards the construction of the school.
