We at Samaritans Brighton Hove and District support people in distress or despair. We listen day and night, 365 days a year, supporting 2000+ callers a month. We work in our community with those most vulnerable to suicide. We are all volunteers (no paid staff) and need £165 a day to keep open.

Story

Hi, my name is Lou and I want to raise money and awareness for the mental health support charity Samaritans. In just one year alone, they receive over 5 million calls for help. Mental health effects approximately 1 in 4 of us, and is still growing higher.  I, along with so many others, have close connections to the experiences and problems mental health can causes and just how much services like Samaritans are needed, now more than ever. My aim is to raise a minimum of 500 pounds by Saturday 21st September 2019. Please feel free to give as much or as little as you can to help keep funding aid up for this amazing charity. On the day I, along with like minded adrenaline junkies will be abseiling down a 450 ft drop from the top of the i360 in Brighton
