Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for St Helena's Hospice in Colchester, in recognition of all the support they give to the terminally ill and their bereaved families. As a family we now have first hand experience of the work of the Hospice, and are so grateful to them, not only for the care and support during Nic's final illness, but also for the support that has been offered to us since his death. We were so impressed with the dedication of the staff and volunteers, and the range of support that is offered to families. They really do make a huge difference. I feel they made Nic's last few days comfortable and calm, without being intrusive, and they gave us all  space to make that time really special.

The hospice is run almost exclusively by charitable donation, which is one of the reasons why I feel that this is a truly worthwhile cause.

Any donation that you can make would be very much appreciated, and really could make a difference to a dying person and their family.

Thank you
