Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is my First Half Marathon  and I am starting to feel a little nervous.  Having only run 10k races before it is quite a challenge.

Luckily I have been able to talk Jane Callari my ever faithful running buddy into doing it with me so hopefully together we can get through it.

I am raising money for Cancer Research UK, a charity which I think will  have an impact on all of our lives at some point in the future.

I lost my lovely mum 7 years ago suddenly to this dreadful disease so I am running this race in her memory and also for my dear friend  Nel, who  very sadly lost her Mum, Nancy  last year.

It may not be the fastest or the prettiest but I will do my  best and I know that Mum would have been very proud of me.

Having the never ending support  and encouragement  of Damo and my girls and knowing they will be there to catch me as I cross the finish line will help me along the way, as does their total unquestionable belief in me.

I am lucky enough to be part of an amazing running club - Fit4Mum and we will be running as a team on the day.  Having the never ending encouragement, enthusiasm and support of the fantastic Melissa and Nel is what got me running again after having Evie and I will always be grateful to them both.

Thank you for you support and your generosity it is very much appreciated.
