Story
Hello!
So here is the next challenge for LouMick and the Moody Cows!
I will be starting on Sunday 30th August and running from St Bees on the West Coast and ending up in Robin Hoods Bay on the East Coast on Saturday 5th September.
This route covers 7 Marathons in 7 Days (180 Miles). On this epic adventure, I will be accompanied by either a different member of the Moody Cows or a close friend who will each be facing their own personal challenge of a Marathon or Half Marathon or [possibly even further?
This event will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support as well as a small donation to Alison House in Middlesbrough.
Macmillan are very close to my heart after losing friends to cancer and seeing the amazing and incredible work of Macmillan nurses in allowing cancer patients humility and peace in their final days. Alison House is a nursing home for adults diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimers. Alison House took great care of my Gran in her final years and did a wonderful job allowing my Gran to live her final years with dignity and comfort.
This challenge is the toughest I have ever even considered let alone attempted. With the help of my friends in the herd, we plan on making our way across the country, raising as much money and awareness as possible for Macmillan. Please let me know if you want to join me on running a leg of the challenge? Can you help out with accommodation? Can you donate any energy gels, sports drinks? Are you a physio or Massage Therapist that can be there at the end of one of the days? Anything you can help with would be hugely appreciated.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
