Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please give as much as you can to help all the projects that CBM are involved in, in Africa and the rest of the world.
Lough Neagh Run
The Run will start from Antrim Forum on Monday 1 October 2007 and will finish on Friday 5 October. I will be covering 113 miles which is the number of countries that CBM have projects in. I am doing this run not only to raise money but to make people aware of how people with no sight live their lives without help and support. In this country we not only take our sight for granted but also all our doctors and nurses medical facilities and treatments. We should count ourselves very luck!.
The work of CBM
CBM are an independent aid organisation made up of Christians of various denominations, dedicated to serving eye patients, blind and otherwise disabled people in the developing world, irrespective of nationality, race, gender or religion.
The work of Christian Blind Mission centres around medical care - preventing and curing blindness - and the rehabilitation and training of disabled people and their integration into society.
A key objective of their ophthalmologists, orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, special teachers and rehabilitation experts is to train national specialists - helping people to help themselves.
The ultimate aim of Christian Blind Missions co-workers and friends is to pass on the Love of Christ through their actions.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christian Blind Mission UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
