Hi guys, as you know my dad sadly passed away on 18th of March after a 6 month fight against kidney cancer. He fought it his way seeking alternatives to the traditional chemotherapy route but sadly the cancer was already in the advanced stages when we found out in October.

I managed to raise close to 2k for UCARE in honor of my Dad by running 18.5 miles with your help in September.  I am now seeking to raise money for Isabel Hospice.

Isabel Hospice did all they could to make my dad’s last few months as comfortable as possible giving him all they could.  The Doctors, Nurses and all those behind the scenes do such an amazing job and rely on donations made to them.  Our family cannot give enough thanks to all those we came into contact with at the hospice.  Ultimately they allowed my dad to pass away in the home that he loved by organising everything he needed.  We were given great support through home visits at night as well as during the day.

I am therefore going to trek through the jungles of Borneo in his memory and hopefully raise money for the Hospice which helps so many people.  I will be spending 11 days out of the country; two of those days are helping a local community project.  Anything you can give will greatly help the hospice which serves our community.

Lou x
