Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Carl and I are running to raise money for Alzheimer's Dementia Support. Louise's stepfather, Ken Thompson, was diagnosed over 10 years ago and has battled through the system to receive adequate care. It is a minefield to obtain the correct care for such sufferers and there should be more support. Ken was featured in the TV programme "What the Drugs Did to Dad". The link below features my mother and stepfather if you watch this section;

Dementia - the true cost of anti-psychotic drugs?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vz22h

My stepdad shouldnt have been left like this and my mother had several nervous breakdowns fighting for his care.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
