Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

Some of you may recall that when I ran the Edinburgh Marathon in 2013, I said it would be my first and last but being a member of Barrow Runners has changed all that. When I realised how many of my fellow Club members were participating in the 2016 London Marathon, I just had to join them! I was delighted to gain a Charity Place running for Diabetes UK, particularly as my step-son Peter was diagnosed with Type 1 over 20 years ago and several other relatives/friends also live with diabetes. In fact, a staggering 700 people are diagnosed with diabetes each day! In 2014 Diabetes UK invested £7 million in diabetes research and any donation you can make will go towards ultimately finding a cure for the condition.

It would be very much appreciated if you could help me achieve my target of £1,850.00 and don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box, if appropriate.   Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
