Tough Mudder South West 2018 · 18 August 2018 to 19 August 2018 ·

Weston Hospicecare provides expert end-of-life care, free of charge, to people with life-limiting illnesses. Our goal is people can live as well as they can, for as long as they can; we help them feel like family and friends again, not just patients and carers.

Story

I/Simon Williams Mayfair will be taking in part in Tough Mudder. It is a 10 mile mud and obstacle course designed to drag you out of your comfort zone by testing your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. With no podiums, winners, or clocks to race against, it’s not about how fast you can cross the finish line. Rather, it’s a challenge that emphasizes teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something almost as tough as you are.

Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
