I have decided to take part in a Mellon Educate ‘Building Blitz’ having seen a video about the 2016 project. Not only does it look like a fantastic experience, it is a chance to make a difference and will change the lives of hundreds of children.

Building a school in a week is going to be a lot of hard work, but it will all be worthwhile in the end. I need to raise £3,500 for Mellon Educate to be able to take part, and have therefore decided to run a half-marathon in September. I have always hated running, have bad memories of the enforced cross-country runs at school, and avoided running ever since. So I thought committing to a half-marathon would be an achievement in itself.
