Thank you all for sponsoring me to run the Windsor Half Marathon for The Joanna Brown Trust today.
I completed it in 2 hours 7mins. It was a beautiful day today and Windsor Park was a gorgeous setting for it. Although it was a very hot and hilly experience, so am pleased to have got round in one piece thanks to lots of Lucozade and some good tunes, and all your support!!

Many of you of course were great friends with Jo too, but for those of you that did not have the fortune of knowing her, a year ago she tragically died in a trekking accident whilst on holiday in Siberia.
Jo was a great advocate of sport and was always encouraging friends to get active. One of my lasting memories of Jo was of a conversation at my birthday last year (over some white wine needless to say), of her trying to tempt me with the challenge of a half-marathon. Although meagre in respect to Jo's achievements, I decided to pursue that challenge this year and have been training hard over the past few months, and am now looking forward to completing my first half marathon.
The Joanna Brown Trust aims to Encourage Involvement in Sport. To provide people with an opportunity to not just experience sport, but excel in it. 100% of the money The Joanna Brown Trust receives through donations will go towards their cause.
