<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p>Next Sunday - 25th September I am making my running debut in the Lisbon Half Marathon.</p>
<p>Never a runner before and quite possibly never a runner again.. I was encouraged to challenge myself in this way by our friend Neil, who has recently taken up half marathon running (three under his belt) and is kindly (!?)coming from the UK to join me (at the start at least) with his son Alex and friend.</p>
<p>So ONE week before I take my position amongst 15,000 serious runners (yes, I'm just a little worried) - I'm making this PLEA for your support, so something good can come out of my agony at the 17km mark AND FOCUS my mind on NOT STOPPING!</p>
<p>The good news is I've stuck to my training programme (thanks Mitchell) and think I may just make it to the end.</p>
<p>My chosen charity, Medecins Sans Frontieres, is one that is always there in the thick of any humanitarian crisis and I would love to raise 1,000 pounds for this really great cause.</p>
<p>MSF sends medical aid to many countries around the world but Somalia, South Sudan and Libya are some of their more prominent current projects... and I guess you'll know why their needs have touched me, you'll have seen the pictures and news stories as well.</p>
<p>So Please help me to make the most of my ONE time half marathon AND do some good at the same time.</p>
