My story
In a moment of weakness, I was persuaded to sign up to run the Brighton half marathon this February. It will be quite an achievement just to make it to the finish, yet I will be running with a few people whose times will definitely be better than mine! So, in an attempt to lend some meaning to my plodding, I've decided to try to raise some money.
The date of the Brighton half marathon marks the end of Children of Alcoholics week this year, and it therefore seemed apt to fundraise for NACOA. You can read more about them through the link on this page.

1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. Seventy percent of these children will try to hide the problem from the outside world. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help.
