As many of you know, recently a friend of mine, David Williams, was hit by a car whilst on a charity bike ride across America. Sadly David never regained consciousness and died shortly after in hospital.
David was an avid fundraiser for charity and on this occasion, he was raising money for Find Your Feet. Find Your Feet works with some of the world's poorest commuities to help them secure basic human rights- the rights to food, clean water and a livelihood. As David never had a chance to raise all he could on this occasion I have decided to run a half marathon to raise money for this fantastic cause.
Although I try and run often, I never cover a great deal of distanct so this will be a massive challenge and my first 'big' run! I will be taking part in the Stevenage Half Marathon in November. So, if you can contribute any amount, small or large, to help this great charity and keep the spirit of David alive it would be much appreciated.
