We're getting married. Eeek!
We're in the fortunate position that we already have a beautiful home and everything we really need for our life together. Rather than ask people to spend money on gifts that we don't need we thought we would try to do something to help preserve the countryside that we enjoy spending time in. We wanted to pick a charity which supported a cause we believe in but didn't have the profile to attract big donations and the John Muir Trust fits that perfectly.
The John Muir Trust works to preserve and renew the countryside and educate people about natural habitats. You can find out more about their work here. Even a small donation can make a difference.
- £6 provides essential materials for up to 2 participants in the John Muir Award, outlining how to use the Award to develop responsibility for the natural world.
- £25 supports a volunteer to participate in a conservation work party to carry out tasks from vegetation and wildlife surveys to invasive species control or beach cleans.
- £100 pays for the removal of 100m of fencing from areas of wild land on Skye, Sandwood, Nevis and Knoydart once regenerating trees are no longer under threat from grazing damage.
We would love it if you would help us support this cause.
