Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We all know cancer is a horrible devastating disease, and research into vaccinations and cures is really important, but for those people already affected by this killer what is equally important is the type of treatment and care they receive while fighting for their lives. The Macmillan nurses are often volunteers wanting to help make the lives of cancer sufferers and their families a little easier during an incredibly difficult time. They help administer cancer treatments, organise transport to and from hospital appointments, offer financial advice to those patients unable to work, carry out daily household activities, and offering support to cancer sufferers and their families on those dark days when nothing makes sense.
My mother-in-law is currently fighting cancer for the third time, and the Macmillan nurses have been a great source of support to her, so this is my way of giving something back. Please help me to help Macmillan help others by sponsoring me in my attempt to run (jog!) the London Marathon - no matter how big or small the donation, every penny counts.
Thank you, I will finish the marathon, no matter what, just watch out for me on the tv! :-)
