Well....here we go! Mum asked me if I would like to do this challenge with her. I had a look & then when it came to signing up that is it exactly what we did!

There is a few reasons why this particular challenge is personal to the both of us & why we are so excited about the challenge ahead & rasing the money!

The main reasons are location & the cause. Tanzania is where my grandparents went to work as my Grandad was a cornish miner. In turn this meant my Dad was born in Tanzania & always had & continues to have a close passion & love for the country.

This passion & interest he has passed on to myself, brother, sister & of course Mum.

It is a country I have always wanted to visit & combining it with raising money for an important cause only makes it even more special.

The second reason is my beautiful niece & god daughter Alahna. She has a congential heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot which has meant she has had a number of complicated heart operations.

The third reason is both my great papa Olds & great uncle Clarence died of heart attacks before I was born.

If we can do our bit to help the research into heart conditions & disease to prevent someone dying & do it in a country that is close to our hearts then why not!

Please give as much as you can, no amount is too small & every little helps!

We are doing the cycle in June 2011 & really looking forward to the opprtunity & challenge that awaits us!
