In October 2011, I will be taking on what is certainly the biggest challenge of my life so far; a trek along the Great Wall of China!
Those of you who know me well will realise that this is actually going to be quite a challenge, as I'm really a complete wimp who isn't particularly good at walking, or indeed being independent! Aside from this being a personal challenge, I'm raising money for the incredibly important Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA); a local charity which receives no funding whatsoever from the government, and relies entirely on donations and fundraising to provide its invaluable service to the public. I chose this charity as potentially, its service could be required by ANY of us, at any time.
My target is £1500 - a huuuuge amount of money - so keep an eye on my Facebook page, as I'll be organising lots of fundraising events very soon! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure (plus, they won't spam you!) If you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the WNAA, and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
