Story
I've spent the last 27 years trying to get people not to laugh at me...well in four short weeks, I've got to get all that to change!
I'm learning the art of stand up comedy for the annual Claire House Comedy Awards, being held at the Marriot Hotel in Liverpool on Sunday 9th June.
I'm so lucky to get to see, on a daily basis, the amazing work that Claire House does. The children, young people and families who benefit from the hospices' work are truely amazing; it is a privilege to work with them. And seeing as I can't run, hate heights and don't bake, I thought I'd give this a go to raise some pennies and do my bit for Claire House (other than work for them!).
It'd be great if you could come along on the night and laugh/geer/point at me and my fellow would-be comedians. But if you can't be there in person, sponsoring me to take part would be a very close second. While I've been up on stage before, this is a totally different ball game and I'm well out of my comfort zone.
Please make a nervous comedienne-in-the-making very happy by sponsoring me a few quid to make an idiot of myself in public!
