Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year Ian died, aged 53. To sum him up, he was a true gentleman.

For the last 21 months of his life, he knew that he had cancer. His wife Tracy, and teenage son, Oliver, had to live with this knowledge too.

Many of us talk about "living in the moment", and things like that. As Tracy's friend, it struck me that for the last few months of Ian's life, he and his family were living with the future taken away.

Tracy looked after Ian at home, to the very end. Macmillan helped with this, as they did with planning and coordinating every aspect of his care.

I know that Tracy deeply appreciates what Macmillan did, and this is why I am determined to ride further, faster, than I have ever ridden before; in order to raise money for continuing this unique and vital service.

Please help me to raise money by donating through JustGiving. It is simple, fast and totally secure.
