Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

Last year I climbed Snowdon, the year before I circuited Carsington Water. This year, I'm doing something a bit... different (and possibly a bit bonkers)!

The Ladies' Driving Challenge is in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Everyone is touched by cancer in some shape or form, whether it be themselves, friends, family... so I want to give something back and help people who are affected by this horrible disease.

I'll be travelling to Telford in Shropshire and subjecting myself to some crazy driving challenges. A far cry from my little Fiesta, I could be driving any (or all of) the following:

- Double decker bus

- Fire engine

- JCB

- HGV

- Tractor

So please consider helping me to raise money for this worthy cause - I've got to raise a minimum of £100, but I'm hoping that I'll exceed that amount. Dig deep and sponsor me - and don't forget to Gift Aid it!

NB - I successfully completed the challenge - you can see my sponsorship total on this page. In the end, I got to drive the following:

- Motorbike

- Fire engine

- Pink skip lorry

- Gritter/snow plough

- 2 HGVs (one I had to reverse round a corner!)

- Skid car

- Tractor
