Now, I'm not much of a runner but I do like a challenge and the London Marathon is a challenge and a half!  But knowing I'm running for such a special charity will definitely spur me on.  By building and managing custom-built, state-of-the-art cinemas in hospitals and places of care Medicinema aims to enhance the lives of patients both young and old who otherwise may not get to enjoy social experiences.  Some patients are disabled, some are critically ill, but Medicinemas are designed to comfortably accommodate beds and wheelchairs making the experience inclusive to all inpatients.  They can even bring their friends and families, providing them with some rare and precious normality.  As one young patient put it '..as soon as that door closes I am in a different world. I forget all about my pain'.
