We provide expert care and support to young people with cancer

Story

Myself and Katie Sandall are participating in the London to Paris bike ride in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust. It involves 4 days of cycling, covering 300 miles and 2 cities. The starting point is Crystal Palace and the finishing point will be the Eiffel Tower, Paris.

My cousin Joseph Catley sadly passed away in December 2016 after his battle with bone cancer. He was 16 years old and will be missed dearly by all family and friends. Teenage Cancer Trust was one of Joseph's chosen charities.

We cannot thank Ward 33 at Leeds Hospital enough for the endless support to Joseph and his family. For those who are not aware Ward 33 is a teenage unit, supporting the medical, physical, emotional and social needs of young cancer patients aged 13-24 years. Teenage Cancer Trust makes sure young people do not face cancer alone.

Any amount of money raised contributes to the specialist care and support Teenage Cancer Trust provides, of the 7 young people a day diagnosed only half access this. By 2020 Teenage Cancer Trust are determined to change this.

Also I would like to say a special thank you to Macmillan support and Candlelighters for all they did for Joseph and the family, words cannot express how thankful the whole family are.

Myself and Katie are hoping to raise 3000, through your kind donations and sponsorship to this amazing cause and our challenge.

We will be holding events up to our challenge so please keep an eye out, and we will be updating you throughout our training.

Thank you in advance
Love Lucy and Katie xx
