The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust (where I work!) is developing a brand new, purpose built, Women and Children's facility at The Royal Oldham Hospital which is due for completion in December 2012.
The 'In Your Hands' appeal has been set up to help provide state of the art facilities and equipment for the women and children of the Pennine Districts.
Funds raised by the 'In Your Hands' Appeal will help buy a variety of medical equipment for sick children and babies and help furnish and enhance the new facility for pregnant women, children and parents. The money will go towards the following equipment:
Ultra-sound scanner for early pregnancy - £60,000
Specialist neonatal cots - £20,000 each
Sensory room for children - £25,000
Special lighting and music equipment for women in labour
Enhancing the environment within the children's wards and theatres
The Sky Diving Group aims to complete a tandem sky dive on 19th November 2011 to raise money for this appeal.
Neonatal transport incubator - £55,000
Ultra-sound scanner for early pregnancy - £60,000
Specialist neonatal cots - £20,000 each
Sensory room for children - £25,000
Special lighting and music equipment for women in labour
Enhancing the environment within the children's wards and theatres
