Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support.

My dad suffered a major heart attack in March 2009 at the age of 51. My dad was extremely lucky to have been very close to the hospital at the time of the attack, he was rushed straight into theatre where he underwent emergency angioplasty surgery and had a stent fitted which ultimately saved his life. Thanks to the fantastic work and research carried out by charities like the BHF my amazing dad would not be here today. So as a small thank you I am running the Virgin London Marathon in order to raise some money for this great charity.

Help me, to help the British Heart Foundation, to help the medical researchers to discover the future.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist. Thanks!
