Hi there! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This summer myself and a few colleagues willl be training hard (in their own special ways) to complete the National Three Peak Challenge! The National Three Peaks Challenge is a mountain-endurance challenge in Great Britain, with a history of over 40 years, in which we will attempt to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales...in 24hours!! The challenge starts in my beautiful home town Fort William where we'll tackle Ben Nevis, 1,344 metres (4,409 ft), but instead of hitting the good old Crofter Bar afterwards - which I would quite like to do - we then head back in the bus to Snowdon in North Wales, 1,085 metres (3,560 ft), and as if that wasn't enough we then take on our final peak, Scafell Pike in North-Western England, 978 metres (3,209 ft). In all the challenge involves some 42 kilometres (26 mi) of ascent and descent, with total travel approaching 765 kilometres (475 mi). And yes we will do it in UNDER 24 HOURS!!!!! The charity we will be supporting is the Children with Special Needs Foundation which some of you will know is a charity close to my heart. It's an amazing charity which makes a difference to Children's lives everyday. Anything at all you could spare would be enormously appreciated and not only will you be supporting a great charity but your sponsorhsip will spur me on to the end of the challenge!
