That foster care is often a short cut to adoption? That disabled children are often placed in institutions with adults and that there is a low knowledge of attachment theory and parenting support among staff in social services? Lumos works at national, regional and local level to change this; through high level advocacy work, training and study visits.</p> <p>Lumos also works in Bulgaria, Montenegro and Moldova (the poorest country in Europe) to change how their Governments spend money and ensure more is redirected to supporting children to live with their family, smaller group childrens' homes and foster care.</p> <p>Thanks for sponsoring my run.
