The Neurological Alliance works with its members to secure better health and social care provision for people with neurological conditions, i.e.the brain, spine, peripheral nervous system and/or muscles. There are estimated to be 10 million people in the UK with a neurological condition that has a significant effect on their lives.

Story

On 30 August (my birthday), I am planning to climb Mont Blanc to raise funds for The Neurological Alliance. I am a bit scared, but enthusiastic and training hard! I have just spent a weekend in Chamonix getting acquainted with crampons and crevasses and acquiring my very own ice axe (see left): bet you never thought you would see that day! What I lack in skill, I make up for in determination and the quality of my climbing trainer (thank you TC). Please sponsor me and make it impossible for me to back out of this! The Neurological Alliance unites more than 50 voluntary sector organisations working together to make life better for people in the UK with a neurological condition. The Alliance lobbies policy makers about the needs of people with neurological conditions and fights for the highest standards of service and care. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Neurological Alliance will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Thank you so much for your support. Lucy x
