Tree-Athlon 2012 · 15 September 2012 ·

We plant urban trees in parks, streets, schools and housing estates across the UK, as well as internationally, revitalising these areas and improving the lives of the people who live in them. We strengthen communities through volunteering opportunities and inspire children to grow and eat good food.

Story

Hello! I am taking part in the Trees For Cities Treeathlon on September 15th 2012. At the moment I am seven weeks into my training towards running 5km.

I am passionate about trees and living on the outskirts of London I see every day what a difference they can make to urban areas. Trees produce oxygen and soak up pollution and as a lifelong sufferer of asthma I am especially appreciative of their benefits. But there are so many others too!
