Story

Hi everyone

On 25th April this year I will be running my second London Marathon in an attempt to raise a minimum of £1,500 for my chosen charity, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)

This is a cause very close to my heart as my gorgeous husband James suffers from type 1 diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, life threatening condition that has a life-long impact of those diagnosed with it and their families. It is normally diagnosed in children and stays with them for the rest of their lives.

People with type 1 diabetes rely on multiple insulin injections or pump infusions every day just to stay alive. Type 1 diabetes can happen to anyone and is not caused by anything that the person with type 1 diabetes, or their parents, did or did not do. Only research will find the cure. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) exists to fund that research.

I will be so grateful for any contribution (however big or small) you can make to this brilliant and worthwhile charity. Thank you so very much in advance for all your support and best wishes

Wish me luck for the 25th April!

Lucy
