I have set myself the challenge of 3triathlons this year culminating in the Olympic distance London Triathlon in September - I only learnt to swim properly at the start of the
year!

Earlier in the year I experienced an allergic reaction to
a face cream  and ended up in hospital on steroids and whilst I was home the next day the side effects did not go down for a couple of weeks and my skin took over a month to return to almost normal.

Although in comparison to any burns victims my experience seems insignificant it did however humble me as whilst I felt so crippled facially and would not go outside and thought I would never look the same again, it was  only a drop in the
ocean compared to what Katie Piper and others have to continue to endure for life. Because of the experience and having seen "the science of seeing" only days before my ordeal the charity was fresh in my mind. Katie is such an inspirational woman and any donation no matter how small will be extremely appreciated.
