Christ's Hospital is a boarding school supported by a charitable Foundation that provides a life changing educational opportunity to boys and girls from all backgrounds, particularly those with family need. The high standard of education and co-curricular programme offered gives children the chance to excel, to discover their talents and fulfil their potential. Places are financially assisted according to family means.

My story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In January 2009 James Atkinson and Rob Gauntlett were killed in a climbing accident in the Alps. James and Rob were at school with me and were keen outdoor enthusiasts. They were both committed to helping others achieve their potential - so this October I will be running the Amsterdam Marathon in their memory, hoping to raise money to allow the opportunites they valued to be passed onto other young people.

Money raised in James' memory from my Marathon will go to "The James Atkinson Bequest". This will be used to support pupils at Christ's Hospital to participate in outdoor activities such as climbing and cycling, which both James and Rob were actively involved in during their time at CH. Please note that donations made through my JustGiving page will only go to "The James Atkinson Bequest" and not to other initiatives that CH participates in.
