Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My name is Lucy and I am 6 years old.
My inspiration for doing this comes from my two school friends, Arielle and Georgina, two beautiful twin sisters who cut their hair and donated it to The Princess Trust. I donated some money and would like to do the same, but with a twist.
Two years ago, my Nanna Sue was taken from us, aged just 53. She had a short but cruel and heartbreaking battle with cancer, the disease she had devoted her life and work to fighting. I want to also donate some money to The Christie hospital, where Nanna Sue worked as Sister in palliative care, received treatment and then passed away, being looked after by the very staff she had called her colleagues. We all still miss Nanna so much but see her shining bright in the sky since she went to be a star up there.
My hair will be cut on Thursday 1st December by my favourite hairdresser, Kim at Darren Michael Hairdressing in High Crompton and will be sent to the Princess Trust to make a wig for children who are also suffering with this awful disease. I love my hair but there is enough of it to share and I would love to make another little girl happy in her time of sadness.
Love you Nanna
