Brighton Half Marathon 2022 · 27 February 2022 ·

CEF are proud to be partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan offer physical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer. We have pledged to raise £1m for the charity over five years.

Story

What better way to kickstart the new year than an ambitious sporting challenge, and what better cause than MacMillan Cancer Support.

Unlike a lot of people, I did not take full advantage of the flexible working over the last two years, to improve my physical health - hence why this Half Marathon will be such a challenge.

This is a challenge that I hope to rise to, and any support (donations) for our chosen charity, MacMillan, will help to motivate me over the next 7-8 weeks as I look to find my running legs.

MacMillan Cancer Support is a charity that is very close to my heart, having lost numerous family members to the disease.

I hope to keep everyone updated with my progress, my pain and my results on race day.

At Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are our worries. We’re doing whatever it takes.
