We support and empower families who are affected by one of the rarest diseases in the world, Alstrom Syndrome. This complex condition affects every organ in the body and can lead to progressive blindness and deafness. Providing information, research opportunities, medical clinics & fun activities.

Story

As some of you may know, my uncle (Sean Waiting) lived with Alstrom Syndrome and unfortunately passed away in January.

However, he was a very inspirational person. Despite being blind, virtually deaf, having type 2 diabetes and plenty of other ailments, he never let it stop him. In his life he managed to go horse riding, try archery, rock climbing, potholing, drove a car and much much more (he even applied to be an apprentice mechanic). So it occured to me, if he could do that, despite having Alstrom Syndrome, then surely I can simply run 10k. I know times are tough, but every penny you donate can help such a fantastic charity. Raising money and awareness is very important!

Thank you very much for reading and thank you even more if you donate, I appreciate it a lot!
