Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. The charity now feeds more than three million children every school day and it costs just £19.15/€22.00 to feed a child for a year.

Story

There are ninety Starbucks Stores in the North Region of Starbucks UK ... and we're joining together on a mega-project this Summer to help the students at Lumbira Primary School in Malawi. We're aiming to raise £7000, or £78 per store, in the incredible timespan of a mere eight weeks!! This money will sponsor a feeding shelter and provide a nutritious school meal every day for a year for the 545 students enrolled there. This is your chance to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families. By encouraging them to attend school, you give them the tools to improve not only their lives but also the lives of those around them.

How each store raises the money is up to the Manager and Partners of each individual store - whether it's simply putting out the collection box or holding a sponsored event, the important thing is that we achieve our goal.
