At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for visiting my "JustGiving" page!!!

So as you may know, I'm doing a sponsored sky dive in New Zealand for the Alzheimer's Society. My grandad (Charles Holgate) had Alzheimers so it's a charity close to my heart because I know the wider effects of having a family member with this disease. My grandad was an amazing man and it was heartbreaking to see him deteriorate to a point where he did not even remember who me and my sisters were. New Zealand also holds special memories as it was the last family holiday we went on to visit my uncle. Alzheimers Society does so much from supporting families to research and just as other charities are, it's an honourable cause!

A little bit of information about the sky dive - My sister (Hannah) and I are travelling around New Zealand from Mid August to September. I'll be sky diving in Queenstown on the 30th of August 2012!

All the money you donate will go straight to the charity, nothing is being deducted for the sky dive!!! Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated.

*Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.*
