Lydia Walks in the Fast Lane

Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those who know me will tell you that at my fitness level this is a huge task and nowhere near anything I have ever undertaken before. But after hearing about A Walk in the Fast Lane - a 150 mile walk from McLaren F1 Racing in Woking to Silverstone Circuit over 5 grueling days visiting each and every F1 team headquarters in the UK, I was inspired.
This is a charity walk to financially support the incredible work CLIC Sargent do to help children with cancer and their families continue their lives and thrive not just survive. It is organised by Mark Nicholson, Stuart Delf and Lewis Bates, composite technicians at Force India F1 who will be doing the whole distance and leading a pack of walkers. I will be one of them during days 2 and 3, covering a distance of 47 miles, starting at Williams, via Renault and Haas, and finishing at Mercedes F1.
The event is part of a series for the Veronica Claxton Memorial Fund, set up by her son Luke, which aims to raise a quarter of a million pound for CLIC Sargent and has already gathered over £200,000. Here is the whole team page: https://www.justgiving.com/companyteams/target250k
The walk is still open to anyone who would like to take part and you can do as little or as much as you like. For more details, to get in touch and to find out who the other walkers are, follow @WalkInFastLane. Thanks again for your time and for your donation. Any support is much appreciated!
