About fifteen years ago, on honeymoon in Tanzania (in a very romantic haze - naturally) I thought it would be lovely to return one day and climb Kilimanjaro. Since then the idea has resurfaced and I somewhat foolishly mentioned going for my XXth?? birthday. I have not been allowed to forget this and with my seven mad volunteer (never mind what they say) companions, plans started to be drawn up last year. I now find myself facing the prospect of a week with no loos, no washing, endless walking and Matt is staying at home! -definitely not the romantic stroll I had in mind!!!!

Anyway we thought since we were going we should try to do a little fund raising and as a group we have chosen two charities - The Dame Vera Lynn Trust and St Catherines Hospice. We are funding the trip ourselves so all the money donated will go straight to the charities.

By donating through JustGiving your details are safe – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s a really good effective way to donate.
