Story
Hi Guys! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On 21st of April, I will run the London Marathon in support of the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). As many of you know, I am crazy about running, and running this race is a good way to tie my crazy pastime to a good cause, like cancer research. I have several friends right now, one of whom is a very dear and special friend, who need support. So I'm running for all those who have been touched by cancer...those who are suffering now, those who are survivors, and those who sadly didn't make it. I feel very passionate about this run. I've run marathons in the past, including London, and even though the training is a killer, I know that the cause I'm running for, along with the support of family and friends, will get me across the finish line. My commitment to ICR is to raise £2,000, but my personal goal is £6,000. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate. And if you're a US taxpayer (and hopefully this applies to other countries as well), please check to see if your donation is tax deductible. If you're outside of the UK and have technical problems, please call JustGiving on +44 845 021 2064. The ICR is a college of the University of London, and the UK's leading academic research centre with the highest percentage of world leading research in biological sciences and cancer studies. BIG HUGE thanks to everyone for your support! I couldn't do it without you! Lynn
