My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

My son David is 17yrs old and has an eye condition called retinis pigmentosa (RP), there is no knowin cure for it but they are doing research to try and get a cure . RP affects the retina of the eye which leaves the person with tunnel vision and night blindness , you could go for most of your life and not know you have it or the signs can start very early at a young age , which is what happened to David. This then leads to in some cases total blindness .

At the age of 8 David was told he had RP which as you can imageing turn your world upside down ,we tried to make david's life as normal as possible he done things that fully sighted kids done like riding a bike and swimming he never let anything stand in his way and if he was told he could't do it he proved everyone wrong and done everything to the best of his abillity, he even done free running with his school mates. At the age of 16 David's vision reduced greatly in 1 eye which left him with 6% sight in the other ,one year later his sight was reduced again leavin him with just been able to see shadows in both eyes .

Even tho a lot has changed in his life he still smiles and gets on with life .

He has decided to now help with rasiing money reseach by doing a sky dive to help get a cure for RP .

I'm really regratfull for everyones help all donations will be greatly recived . Many Thanks David's mum
