In April 2011 I will be undertaking a 50th anniversary sponsored walk for the charity, on my own 50th birthday, </span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">to raise cash for unwanted dogs in desperate need</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">.</span></p>

Jerry Green Dog Rescue is planning to mark its milestone by raising £50,000 to introduce extra facilities for the thousands of dogs that it cares for while finding them new and loving homes. I thought I’d celebrate my own milestone by tackling a special "five-oh" sponsored walk to contribute to the effort.</span><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #333333;"></span></p>

Every day I take five or six different dogs walkies, covering up to 18 miles a day, and have already lost five stone in the effort.</span><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #333333;"></span></p>
